Even though our stop was brief, and was a long time coming, we really enjoyed our time in Pictou.
I'd been wanting to do a segment on the Hector and the Heritage Quay for some time now since the restoration project started since the Great Big Lift which got the ship out of the water back in June 2020.
The Ship Hector is a full-sized replica of the original that brought the first wave of emigrants from Scotland to Nova Scotia in 1773.
Visit the Hector Heritage Quay, an Interpretive Centre to learn about the living conditions these hardy souls call home during almost 11 weeks at sea.
