7 years ago Army Veteran George Anthis organized the first Highway of Hero's tribute ride here in Nova Scotia as a way to honour the country's military members who have passed. Only 56 motorcyclists were involved the first year and almost 500 participating in this years event.

Due to George's efforts this tribute ride which continues to grow and gain support from the General public.

It's truly was a sight to be seen, with the Dartmouth parking lot full of bikes and cars, not to mention the, fire trucks, and police who escorted the ride all the way to Truro.

It was truly heart warming to see so many people supporting this tribute doing what they can to keep the memories of our lost comrades alive in hearts and minds.

There is no registration fee and no money is collected but all riders get a ticket and a chance to win a number of prizes which have been donated from various businesses and organizations.

Tim Hortons provided Coffee and Timbits in Millbrook and this year the Millbrook community is supplying some Food, a BBQ, a traditional Drum band as well as Traditional Dancers and Music.
