In this episode of the Nova Scotiable show, our host Brian C. talks with Amanda Kirkpatrick who has just returned from Florida where she won second runner up at the North America Beauty Pageant.
This was quite the accomplishment where this is an international pageant. We are proud of how Amanda's representation of the Eastern Provinces and especially Nova Scotia.
Amanda Kirkpatrick
..is our current reigning Ms Eastern Provinces North America, and recently placed 1st Runner Up at the North American Beauty Pageant in Orlando this past July.
Amanda has been an active delegate in the Canadian pageant scene since 2008 starting with the Apple Blossom Queen Annapolisa Pageant and has won many community, provincial, and regional titles and has placed top 2 nationally as well. She is an active member of S.O.A.R (Survivors Of Abuse Recovering), which is an organization run by survivors of childhood abuse helping other adult survivors on their path to self love and acceptance.
Amanda speaks openly about her platform and trauma in hopes of bringing awareness to childhood abuse and the affects on survivors in their adult life. She is a
member of the Eastern Stars and the Sou’West Delta Waterfowl Group, where she has participated in many events focused on youth and prosperity within several communities.
Amanda is originally from Nova Scotia and has recently relocated to Newfoundland with her fiancé and two daughters.
