The Esquire Plaza on the Bedford Highway was the starting point for the Salute the Saviours – Ride to Rebuild fundraiser where everyone on 2 or 3 wheels has been invited to join in.
The recent wildfires became very personal for event organizer Chris Woodworth where the fires were close to home where many people he grew up where affected, with some losing everything.
This event is an outpouring of his gratitude to the firefighters who fought the fires and the Red Cross who stepped in right away with supplies and comfort.
Chris has asked for a minimum $5 donation be made to partake in the ride and is asking for further donations from anyone who can do so. The Red Cross through the Nova Scotia Wildfire Fund is matching every dollar donated with two dollars making this a great way to help out.
Don’t forget to check out the Sea Search Contest page on how to win a gift certificate for a 3 nights stay a the Ocean Sunset Chalets.
